Hi, my name is Mary Carmen Cordero Castillo. I’m 56 years old and I live in Venezuela. In January 2025, I suffered my second stroke (CVA), and doctors later diagnosed a brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in my brainstem. I urgently need brain radiosurgery to reduce the risk of another stroke or a life-threatening hemorrhage. Unfortunately, this treatment is not available in Venezuela’s public hospitals, and the private center that can perform it has quoted $18,400 USD, which I cannot afford.
