Our kid has been a blessing to watch grow for 17yrs. They’re compassionate, empathetic, artistic, funny as hell, and a fierce friend. This month the unexpected happened and they became violently ill. Doctors misdiagnosed the excruciating headaches, violent vomiting, and sudden lazy eye for weeks as cyclical migraines, then misdiagnosed it as viral meningitis and treated them incorrectly before realizing their serious mistake. After a spinal tap and 5 day hospital stay it is clear this is a neurological emergency. They’re looking at MS/Lymphoma and are in need of immediate transfer out of state because Juneau Alaska lacks the proper staff and facilities to help further investigate what is happening. We’ve already racked up $45,000+ in medical expenses and still need flights to Seattle, lodging while there to be able to get the help needed and we’re having to adjust our entire lives so Marley has access to specialists for continuous medical treatment.
