Hello, my name is Teri and our family is fundraising to help support my sister, my brother-in-law, Mario, and their family.

On April 1st, Mario went to the emergency room with paresthesia of his arms and legs. This visit led to learning his hemoglobin and iron were dangerously low, but the ER could not determine a diagnosis. He went to the ER two more times and with the third visit, he was worse. His vision was affected and he began seeing double. He was finally admitted through neurology and later diagnosed with variant of Guillain-Barre (Miller Fisher) Syndrome.

He's thankfully received treatment for Miller Fisher Syndrome, but the recovery is slow (as long as 6 months to a year). We are still pending a lot of information on his health, but at this time he is unable to work.

Mario's health and inability to work is impacting the families ability to pay bills and any funds collected will be used to ensure that the basic living needs can be met and that medical bills can be paid.
