Russians for Ukraine (RFU) is a grassroots volunteer organization founded on February 26, 2022, to help those impacted by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Over 300 volunteers have come from around the world, serving for days/weeks/months. RFU works alongside NGOs, non-profits, and other groups from around the world, all focused on helping refugees in the area.
What we do:
- Operate a shelter for refugees
 - Provide and arrange for short and long-distance travel
 - Deliver aid to refugees and Ukrainian families who remain in Ukraine (warm clothes, hygiene products, medical supplies, power banks, generators, etc.)
 - Provide advocacy services and referrals to advocacy groups
 - Provide services in Russian or Ukrainian (refugees' native language)

Where we do it:
- Daily at the Przemysl Train Station
 - The pedestrian border crossing in Medyka
 - Our 30-person shelter in Przemysl
 - Delivering aid and passengers across Ukraine, Poland, and sometimes further

Who we do it for:
- Hundreds of Ukrainian refugees cross the border in Medyka/Przemysl daily
 - Many are people with disabilities, often as a result of war-related injuries
 - Most are women, children, and the elderly, as men 16-60 can not leave Ukraine
 - Aid centers in Ukraine
 - Families living in Ukraine

How we do it:
- A volunteer house in Medyka provides room and board to volunteers
 - Our shelter is used as a hub for services and consaltions for refugees
 - The garage acts as storage for humanitarian aid that will cross the border
 - We use our own and donated vehicles to transport people and aid

Your Donations will be used to meet our current needs:
- Rent and utilities for the volunteer house and shelter
 - Food for the volunteer house
 - Fuel and maintenance for our vehicles
 - Costs related to shipping (postage, border fees etc)
