Help Maia get to the World Scout Jamboree 2023

Hi, I’m Maia Whitlock. I have been given the amazing opportunity to go all the way to South Korea!

 

I am very excited; however, I must raise nearly £4,000 by the summer of 2023. I know that is a lot of money, but it isn’t all for me. It’s also covering the costs of scouts from low-income countries across the world so that they can go on this life-changing journey as well!

 

I am going to be doing loads of different things to raise this money, from cat-sitting to selling my art. I’m working my hardest to raise the money for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I hope to do lots of fun activities and make memories with people from all over the world.

 

Getting into the 2023 World Jamboree means so much to me because it was one of the main reasons that I joined Scouts in the first place! I feel very privileged and proud to take part in this incredible journey. The World Scout Jamboree only happens once every 4 years with a different country hosting the event. It is a chance for young people from a wide range of cultures to get to know one another through shared experiences and the main themes are sustainability and inclusion of everyone.
