Help Madeline Get her car out of repossession
Donativo protegido
I am an older transwoman software developer with 25 years of experience who has had difficulty finding work after getting laid off a few years ago. I lived off my 401k for some time but that money has dried up. I paid my bills as best I could, and have been working full time for minimum wage since last August, but it is not enough to make my car payment(among other bills).
My current job will raise my pay enough in 2 months to start making payments on my car again, but I just learned it was repossessed. It took forever for an agent to confirm the repossession (because of my name change) and discuss what it would take to get my car back. I need to raise money by april 22nd or my car will go on auction and I will owe money on a vehicle I no longer have access to.
you have no idea how much it would mean to me to help me get my car back. Being homeless and unemployed was so demoralizing, and now having a repossession on my record compounds my despair. transition has been filled with so many obstacles and painful emotional losses, having to literally start everything over from nothing at my age (51) feels so daunting sometimes all I can do is cry. Your help would bring a little joy into my life and make hope a reality again.
Thank you for any help you can give me, I'm embarrassed to ask for your help, and I wish there was a way for me to repay you all.
