Help Lori Fight

Lori was employed at Aetna Insurance  Company for 28 years. In March, 2017 her job was outsourced and she lost everything including health insurance. In that same month, Lori was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. With mounting medical bills and the lack of income, her son, daughter and I (her mother) are doing everything we can to help her. She had a lumpectomy in March, 2017. Cancer was found in the lump and one lymph node. Unfortunately, the cancer returned and she began a rigorous regiment of chemotherapy in January. She has nine more weeks before she is complete. She will then have another surgery to remove the lump that continues to grow. She was able to apply for Medicaid, but the funds barely touch the surface. She is struggling to pay rent, buy food and pay medical bills with no income. She is unable to work now because the chemo has left her very ill. We are hoping for the kindness and compassion of anyone who can help us through this difficult time. Lori has been self sufficient all of her life and her pride is shattered. Most of us are a pay check away from a desperate situation.   Our goal is for Lori to get through this difficulty and become cancer-free after the treatment and surgery is completed.
