Help Lindsay Long BEAT CANCER

In 2018, Lindsay was diagnosed with recurrent cervical cancer. Since then, she has been in for the fight of her life, and we need your help!

Her diagnosis and prognosis are exceptionally tough because her unique type of cancer produces high-volume and fast-growing tumors, which have proven difficult to treat. Since 2018, Lindsay has undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, highly complex surgeries to remove the tumors, and countless other medical procedures and tests. Along with these things come large, mounting medical bills and unrelenting stress. If you know Lindsay, you know she is one tough cookie, a true boss lady and teacher, and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Throughout these trials, she has fought hard to continue to grow her acupuncture practice and teach other acupuncturists and acupuncture students. Her passion and purpose are her patients, providing jobs, and helping others achieve health and happiness, so let's help her get back to that.

Almost five years after her initial diagnosis, Lindsay has exhausted all treatment options that insurance will cover. Domestic clinical trials and recently approved FDA-approved cervical cancer drugs have not yet proven successful. Their side effects are very toxic to the body and even deadly for some. Lindsay doesn't want to try treatments she isn't confident she will still have the strength to come back from. She has sought more personalized treatment options outside the United States in light of these findings and her grim prognosis. We all know that the one size fits all pharmacologically based oncology treatment and care provided in the US is only part of the puzzle to ultimately heal from cancer. She is not ready to call it quits and go into hospice as she feels she has a lot more good to do, patients to treat, and love to share while here on this planet.

Lindsay is a fighter. She is one of the strongest people I know, and she never ceases to amaze me. She has educated herself on her treatment; she has advocated for herself, and she hasn't stopped living her life or helping others. She teaches me that there is always something to fight for, live for, admire, and learn from. She makes the most of every day, and now, it's up to us to help her so she can make the most out of her treatment and focus on getting well.
