Help Lily Afford Facial Reconstruction Surgery

Hello! My name is Brittany and I have created this Go Fund Me on behalf of my sweet little cousin Lily and her mom Jessica Gerst.

In her short few years of life, Lily has had to endure more than most children her age. Despite any set backs thrown her way, she has never let that get in the way of living a "normal" childhood. Jessica, her mom, has been a wonderful role model and support system for all of her children. Despite tragedy and obstacles set in both of their paths, their positivity and "love of life" attitude is contagious and inspiring.

Lily however needs our help. Lily is going to be getting surgery on November 16th. She will be undergoing facial reconstruction surgery, specifically on her chin. The maxillofacial plastic surgeon will be working on her facial bones. This will be an invasive surgery requiring cutting of bone and adding metal framing that will need to be turned daily to let the bone regenerate. This new bone in her chin will be pushed forward, giving her more facial formality but also help her breathing and future dental and bodily health.

She is very excited but also very nervous as you can imagine! She will then have multiple follow-up visits after this as well, because they will need to remove the metal once the new bone has completely formed.

The family will be traveling to and from Philadelphia for at least 4 days for the initial surgery as well as for follow-up visits which will take time away from work.

The family could use monetary donations to help with medical costs, lodging, mileage, food and unexpected expenses that may come up through this extensive journey.
