Lilly — Wolfgang Amadeus Lillehammer — is 15 years old and still going strong. She’s more than a beloved companion: Lilly has been a canine ambassador, starring in my book Service Dogs in America: Legal Issues, appearing publicly to help reform the county animal code, and offering comfort as a de facto therapy dog to hundreds of people over the years.
This month, Lilly is doing much better, and I fully expect her to be with us for several more years. She still needs a full blood panel and possibly non-steroidal medication to manage age-related arthritis and stay comfortable. This fundraiser helps cover her veterinary care so she can continue enjoying her golden years.
In the event that Lilly’s lifetime needs are fully met, any remainder will fund a public commemoration and educational event celebrating senior dogs, their care, and community awareness — (eg. reservation and event fess at Tuckers Grove Dog Park.
Thank you for supporting Lilly, honoring a lifetime of love, service, and inspiration.
