Lauren has had diabetes since she was 14 years old. A lifestyle change like this is hard for anybody to get used to. Managing type 1 diabetes is difficult for a working student-athlete. Over the past three years, Lauren and her family have decided that getting a service dog will make going away to college next year a lot easier for Lauren, her family, and her disease.
