Help Launch Yagra Pilgrimage Tours

Dear friends and loved ones,
As I celebrate another year of life, I’m reflecting deeply on my journey—and I want to share something close to my heart with you. For most of my adult life, I worked as a data analyst in humanitarian and social justice organizations. It was deeply fulfilling work—supporting causes that aligned with my values and contributing to meaningful impact behind the scenes. But in 2023, everything shifted. I moved from the U.S. to India for personal, spiritual, and practical reasons. Not long after, I lost my consultancy job—part of the broader economic unraveling happening back home. Strangely enough, what could have been a setback became the very doorway I’d been yearning for: a chance to realign with my heart’s true calling.
With this unexpected space, I leaned fully into my devotion to the Buddha Dharma—a path I’ve long held close but hadn’t had the freedom to prioritize fully. Alongside my partner and dearest friend, Dasang, a deeply committed Dharma practitioner, we began journeying to sacred sites across the Himalayan belt. These pilgrimages took us to ancient caves where Mahasiddhas meditated, monasteries, self-arisen statues, and meetings with oracles, teachers, yogis, and practitioners who carry living wisdom. These experiences have transformed me. I’ve never felt more alive, more in alignment, or more called to share.
Which brings me to why I’m writing this: Dasang and I have started a pilgrimage company called Yagra Tours—a humble, heart-centered initiative to bring others on these sacred journeys in a way that’s spiritually accessible, financially affordable, and deeply transformative. Starting this business comes with significant challenges, including organizing travel arrangements, developing a user-friendly website, marketing the tours, and ensuring comfortable lodging for participants. I believe that by making these experiences accessible, we can help people find peace, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose. The funds raised will go directly toward covering these essential startup costs, allowing me to offer well-organized, enriching journeys that support both individual growth and collective well-being.
