My business Butter & Crumble began as a passion project to keep baking treats for my friends and family from my little apartment kitchen in San Francisco. Over the past two years my business has grown more than I ever could have imagined and its time to dream bigger. I've decided to take my side hustle legit and dive all in into buttercream.
From my Oatmeal Cookie Cake, featuring layers of brown butter cake with oat streusel and oatmeal cinnamon infused buttercream, to my Espresso Hazelnut Mascarpone Cake featuring an espresso butter cake layered with hazelnut brown sugar crumble crumble and mascarpone vanilla bean buttercreammy cakes are made with the very best ingredients, and creative techniques that allow for deep balanced flavors that are never overly sweet or rich.
Unlike the sugary, gritty, rich and dense cakes out there sold for their decorative fronts that you can never finish more than a few bites, my cakes ask customers to never put the fork down and to finish a whole slice wanting more. My cakes are well seasoned, balanced, and textured treats that satisfy cravings and are loved by cake lovers and cake haters alike.
I am seeking my own space and I need your help to raise funds to pay for license fees, equipment, and all the fun stuff behind building out my very own bakery! I've got the recipes nailed, an endless stream of sweet ideas, and a business school education to make it happen. My dream is to create a small retail space where I can offer mini cakes, pastries, and bagels for your last minute cravings as well as larger cakes for all your special celebrations!
