Help Kari stay in her home.

For those of you who don’t know Kari, let me paint a picture of the type of person she is. When my house needed painting, she was there with a paint brush and a smile offering to help. When it’s summer time she shows up with lawn tools to help with the yard. When my mom got sick she dropped everything to be there for me and my mom. She cleans the church every week, even when she’s hurting and she can barely get up the stairs. If you ask her for anything she will most likely give it to you.
Kari has been living with her mom and helping her for many years. They have always been 2 of a kind and extremely close. They shared rent and bills, and Kari helped her mom and took her to appointments. In November their landlord raised their rent from $850 a month to $1300. Shortly after that her mom got sick. She was in the ICU for 2 weeks. On December 9th Kari had a hip replacement surgery, and then on December 11th her mom passed away.
So much has happened in the last month and Kari doesn’t have the money she needs to pay the rent, much less cremation, memorial fees, and normal monthly bills. Her mom was a bit of a pack rat and she has hundreds of boxes of her mom’s things that she has to go through and figure out what to do with all of it before she can just up and leave the house she was living in with her mom. However she is still using a walker from her hip replacement and it’s hard for her to do everything with so little time.
