My name is Kae'la. I am a senior student at Prairie View A&M, taking my final class to graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Biology. My final cost of attendance in order to stay enrolled this Summer is $1,655.71. Graduation will be August 10th, 2024 and this tuition balance is due by July 24th.

In order to receive financial aid, the university requires me to complete my degree within 184 credit hours. However I have exceeded the 184-hour limit by 6 credit hours, causing me to lose financial aid. This was caused by the many adversities I have faced since being enrolled. Including COVID, homelessness, a traumatic sexual assault on campus, and ongoing battles with anxiety and depression. These things made my journey through college longer and more difficult than anticipated.

Despite these struggles, my faith in Jesus has been my guiding light and source of strength. The Lord has given me perseverance and hope that he will bring me within reach of my goal, graduating with my degree. After graduation, I plan to join Prairie View Chi Alpha Campus Ministry as a College Missionary, helping other students find strength in Christ just as I did. I am eager to walk the stage this August, and embark on this next chapter of my life doing ministry full time on campus.
