Help Juniper Avoid Homelessness

Hello there! My name is Juniper, and I am a transfem college student studying for my Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media at the University of Central Florida.

For some context; I was living in on campus housing for my first year, and during this time I started transitioning both through HRT and socially, having people address me by my preferred name and pronouns. Since then I feel as though I have truly felt comfortable with myself and my identity and it's something that I enjoy dearly. However, after the end of the year, I moved back in with my parents, as I assumed it would be more convenient and I wouldn't have to pay rent since I don't make quite enough to afford most apartments in the area.

While my parents have stated that they are supportive of my transition, their actions and behaviors towards me since I have come out have been anything but supportive. Due to this, I sought to get out of my living situation as quickly as possible.

I am currently living in an apartment away from my parents, which a friend has graciously offered for only $650 a month. I recently lost my job and have not had luck finding a new one, and as I am a full time college student it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to make the rent at this point in time. I wish it hadn't come down to having to make a gofundme, but unfortunately I have little choice at the moment.
