In Loving Memory: Arturo “Junior” Flores - Beloved Husband, Father, and "Papa" & Support for Eladio Vargas

Dear friends, neighbors, and cherished members of the Ramona community,

Our hearts are shattered following the devastating accident that occurred on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at State Route 78 and Weekend Villa Road in Ramona.

Arturo “Junior” Flores tragically lost his life. He was a devoted husband, loving father, Papa and the main provider for his family.

Eladio Vargas, also a husband, caring father and provider, was seriously injured and remains hospitalized.

Junior continually contributed to our community with his kindness, spirit, and care. Just last year, he gave his time and effort to rebuild Liam’s lemonade stand "THE WORLD's LARGEST LEMONADE STAND" bringing joy and connection to our town.

Most recently, both Junior and Eladio contributed behind the scenes at the Ramona Fair, helping set up the shade sails and misters that kept attendees cool during the summer heat—a tangible act of care so people could enjoy the festivities in comfort .

These are two remarkable men—fathers, friends, and the heart of what our community stands for. This leaves a profound void, but their legacy of love, service, and provision endures.

To honor Junior’s memory and support Eladio and his family, we are launching a GoFundMe campaign. Funds will be used to:

Support Junior’s family, who are now grieving the loss of their beloved husband, father, and family provider.

Aid Eladio and his family with medical expenses and recovery.
