Help John Button Fight Pancreatic Cancer

A few weeks ago, our dad John was healthy, working full time, and living life, but began experiencing flu like symptoms. Within a weeks time he was shocked to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It was discovered that the tumor was blocking the bile duct and upon surgery to unblock it, John became severely septic. While his children immediately rushed to be by his side, John fought through and began to stabilize.

By Gods Grace, John is now recovering and trying to adjust to a new normal, while preparing for his battle ahead.

John will be receiving his care at Duke Cancer center, some of the best in the country, but also 2.5 hours from their home. He will receive 6 months of chemotherapy followed by a

Massive wipple surgery with a lengthy recovery.

John And his wife Wendy are now faced with the unexpected expenses of medical bills, travel costs/ hotels biweekly for chemo, and dog sitters, all with jeopardizing Johns ability to work. Not long ago they moved into their forever home in North Carolina with dreams of retirement, travel and memories by the beach with grandchildren. They are prepared to fight this cancer but the financial burden will be significant.

Anyone who knows John can tell you how generous of a person he is and always the first person to want to help others. He is a dedicated husband a wonderful father an adoring grandpa.
