Help Joann Davis recovery from violent attack TBI

On Sunday afternoon August 23rd, 2020 at 3pm Joann was attacked by a young man with a baseball bat.
This was a random act of violence by a complete stranger for no given reason as she came out of a local store. After hitting her in the back of the head, he then beat her in the legs with the baseball bat. Fortunately a lady leaving the same store ran out screaming which distracted him from Joann. Fortunately the other people in the parking lot chased the man and held him for the police to arrive, who then took him into custody and retrieved the baseball bat.
Joann was then rushed to hospital (Atlanta Medical) in an ambulance, suffering a fractured skull, brain trauma, brain bleed and massive bruising all over her legs and body. She then spent two nights in the ER and another two nights in a hospital room. Right now Joann is now at home with her husband and two sons and has a difficult road ahead for recovery and rehabilitation. We will know more after she visits her neurosurgeon on what the future recovery will be like over the next few months.
Joann and her family would like to thank everyone that helped stop the attack from ongoing, chasing and catching him.
We will update as to Joann’s progress in the next week after her doctors appointment.
