Help Jewel Continue Her Journey At Howard

Hi everyone, my name is Jewel Taylor

I’m a rising junior at Howard University, majoring in Legal Communications, minoring in political science with a 3.7 GPA. I’m passionate about advocacy, leadership, and being of service to others, and Howard has truly shaped me into the woman I’m becoming.

That’s why this is hard to share. Despite everything I’ve worked for, I’m now at risk of not being able to return this fall. Due to unexpected charges, tuition increases, and delays in aid, I currently owe $20,652. I’ve applied to 21 scholarships, looked into every loan and resource I could, and even joined a payment plan, but Howard has made it clear: I cannot register for Fall 2025 until my balance is paid in full by July 21st. I’ve always been the one to figure things out on my own. But right now, I need help.
