Help Jen and Jon Repair Their Cars
Donativo protegido
My husband (Jon) and I (Jen) are asking for help getting our cars repaired. Jon's is a 2010 Chevy Malibu. He was on his way to work and the car wouldn't go over 20 mph. Took it to the shop and it needs a transmission. Estimate is $3910. I know a lot of people say to get rid of it, but it is still financed.
In our life, when it rains, it pours. My 2018 Dodge Caravan failed inspection for a torque converter, also still financed. So I have 60 days to get that fixed and done. We are still driving the van because we cannot be without a car, so I don't have an exact estimate for it, but with our luck, it will cost around the same.
We both work and have 4 kids at home, and our kids are in sports, and one works. This is our daily routine: I get up at 5:30, drive my husband to work an hour away, then drive to work another hour. Then, if there's sports, on lunch, I pick up a kid. After work, I drive an hour to pick up my husband, then drive an hour home, pick up a kid, and take her to work.
Financially, for us, this is gonna take a lot that we cannot afford. This is hard for us to write and ask for help, but I can promise that we truly appreciate any help.
