Jeff Schild is a hardworking, selfless provider who has spent his life supporting his family through his work as an electrician. Just before Christmas, our world was turned upside down.
Jeff was hospitalized the week of Christmas with severe blood clots throughout his left leg, sepsis caused by diverticulitis (caused by a highly infectious bacteria called Campylobacter spp), a nodule on his left lung, and a mass discovered on his left kidney. We are waiting on the results from a biopsy to determine if the mass is cancerous. On top of the fear and uncertainty surrounding his health, Jeff faces this battle without medical insurance.
Jeff is the primary breadwinner for our family, but due to his condition, he is currently unable to work full-time. He can walk with difficulty and cannot lift or perform the physical labor required for his job at this time. While he focuses on treatment and recovery, medical bills and household expenses are piling up rapidly. We are now at risk of losing our home if we cannot get ahead of these urgent costs.
Anyone who knows Jeff knows he is not someone who asks for help. He is a provider, a problem-solver, and someone who always puts others first. This situation has left our family with no choice but to humbly ask for support during the most difficult time we have ever faced.
Funds raised will be used to:
* Cover urgent medical bills and ongoing care
* Prevent foreclosure and keep a roof over our heads
* Help our family stay afloat while Jeff is not able to work full-time
Any donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Jeff in your prayers means just as much to us.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with our family during this incredibly challenging season.
With gratitude,
Jeff’s Family
