Help Jeff Remove Brain Tumor

Jeff went into the doctor early this spring with an ear ache that didn't go away after a year. After a CT and other tests, we got the devastating news that there was a mass inside his skull. After more tests and appointments, we found out that he had a tumor that started on the pituitary gland and has grown to other places. Although the tumor is benign, it is still large and causing issues. This surgery is critical because the tumor has eroded part of a bone in his skull and there is currently nothing separating his sinuses from his brain. It continues to grow where it can start impeding upon the optic nerve and basilar artery. It has grown partially around the carotid artery and if it does impede the optic nerve he could be blinded and unable to work. He needs to meet with multiple doctors that include ENT, Neurosurgeon, Endocrinologist and Opthamologiest who will be performing the surgery together.

Jeff headed to Mayo clinic in Phoenix for even more tests and appointments, but after insurance issues and Mayo requiring him to pay for all the appointments out of pocket, we have to look for other options. Other options include Seattle, Salt Lake City, Baltimore, or back to Phoenix. Once we can find a facility, Jeff and his new wife Sheri will have to stay there for three weeks with continuous appointments, tests, and imaging. Unfortunately, he has already paid just about $8000 and we have yet to do the surgery or find a facility that can do it with his insurance.
