We are heartbroken to share that on Sunday morning, February 16, 2025, a devastating fire caused by a lightning strike completely destroyed the home of the Legionaries of Christ’s community in Cumming, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. This was also the home of our three dedicated Regnum Christi missionaries—Javi, Elijah, and Pedro— who are recent high school graduates, staying there during their year-long term of service to the local parish, school, and Atlanta community as a whole. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but this destructive act of nature left them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They lost all of their clothing, personal belongings, and essential items they relied on for their daily work of service.

These three recent high school graduates have devoted this year of their lives to serving others, spreading Christ’s message, and making a difference in the Atlanta community. Now, they need our help. We are reaching out to ask for your support to help them recover from this catastrophe. Your donations will assist Javi, Elijah, and Pedro in purchasing essential items such as clothes, replacing their destroyed laptops and musical instruments, and other personal items crucial for their day-to-day lives and ongoing missionary work.
