Help Izzy Receive Her Saint Mary of The Woods Ring
Don protégé
Izzy Wetzel will receive her Saint Mary of The Woods ring this year. The Woods ring is a unique onyx and gold ring and is a symbol of pride, friendships, academic achievement, and personal growth. With its distinctive design, only SMWC students and alumni have the privilege of wearing the ring. The oak leaves signify knowledge, and the six acorns represent the founders of the college. Students earn their participation in the ceremony through academic success in their junior year at SMWC.
We are so proud of Izzy and her time at SMWC. She is also a Saint Mother Theodore Guerin (SMTG) Scholar, the highest award for academic excellence, service, and faith. Her time at this college means the world to her. The Woods ring honors academic success and sacrifice while demonstrating the pride and loyalty the students and alum all share.
Mom knew about the ring, the Ring Song, and its legacy but did not know how expensive it is! Izzy is going to apply for a ring scholarship as well as apply for a legacy ring, but as those options are limited, I am creating this fundraiser to help offset any cost I can. Of course, her dad and I will contribute as well. But if you could find it in your heart to donate, it would mean the world to us.
Please do not tell Izzy about the fundraiser (she, of course, will be told of the community that helps to support this endeavor); I just wanted it to be a surprise.
