Please join me, Leonard Peikoff in support of a special woman who has become one of my dearest friends and allies, Holly Valliant. Hospitalized since August 30th, she was finally diagnosed with malignant cancer. Suddenly she and her husband, Jim Valliant (my close friend and respected colleague) are facing the fiercest and painful fight of their lives!

Holly is the perfect wife for Jim. A woman who shares with him the importance of philosophy. Her continual interest in the ways of the world consists not simply of cheering or denouncing but of observing them with philosophical scrutiny, which is evidence of her intelligence, philosophical nature, and therefore uniqueness.

Holly is an accomplished producer whom I was honored to meet thirty years ago when I met her as the producer of Ideas In Action. She created a knowledgeable and eloquent video about my ideas, actions, and their interrelationships.

She is one of the few Objectivists who –not like, say, Harry Binswanger and many other Objectivists who simply ignored the injustice committed against me by my daughter, Kira, or went over to my daughter's side, naively giving in to her lies.

Holly (and Jim) became aware of my daughter, Kira’s legal assault on me to take away my freedom -- showed up at my home to find out for themselves the truth of the matter- and has done everything possible to make sure that I and my family do not lose the zest for life because of the injustice of my daughter or the life of being surrounded by attorneys.

Holly is a faithful friend who remains by my side amid Kira’s war against me, a war manifested in the multiple lawsuits she has brought against me (and my businesses): my wife, my son, and Jim Valliant. Holly has shown me true friendship. She is honest, loyal, supportive, and kind. She tells you exactly what she feels. Where other “friends” are absent, Holly is ever present. Where others are silent, Holly’s voice and laughter rings out loud. Since she is your friend, you’ll know it because you will be the recipient of endless love.
