Help Heal Robbie's Heart
Donation protected
On Friday, March 30th, Robbie was at work loading a delivery as usual when the unthinkable happened. Robbie, an otherwise healthy 45-year-old husband and father of three with no previous problem with heart disease or any warning signs of health problems, fell victim to a massive heart attack.
Through the quick thinking of his co-workers at GHS, he was given CPR, oxygen, and defibrillated. We are almost certain that without these steps, Robbie would not be with us today. He was immediately taken to the Heart Center to have a stent put into his left anterior descending coronary artery. A blockage here is morbidly referred to as "The Widow Maker" within the medical community.
We as a family are so fortunate to have this wonderful man still with us today. However, the road to recovery for Robbie is still a tumultuous one. Neurological improvements that would allow Robbie to leave the hospital have been slow but steady. He is currently still on a ventilator and feeding tube. He is making amazing progress towards becoming more alert and cognizant, but as he does so, hospital bills are adding up as his stay lengthens.
Robbie is an employee of GHS, and has excellent medical insurance, but his out of pocket co-pay for his hospital stay will likely be 5,000 to 7,000 dollars. As well as just covering his medical bills, Robbie was the primary earner for his family -- his wife and two youngest children still depend on his earnings.
We want Robbie to have the very best care he can. We also want his family to have less stress about the financial aspect of this unforeseen event. If you can donate to this GoFundMe account, please do so. Any amount you can give is appreciated. If you aren't able to contribute financially, please do so by sharing this page. Robbie needs less stress as he recovers from this traumatic heart attack, and his family needs support. We appreciate your continued help and prayers.
