Hazel is my 8-month-old calico cat, and she’s the sweetest, most affectionate companion anyone could ask for. She fills my days with joy, always eager to play, eat, and share her gentle spirit with everyone she meets. Hazel especially loves playing with her sisters, Cookie and Mia, who adore spoiling her with care. She’s always the one who brightens their days and brings happiness to our home.
Recently, Hazel was diagnosed with dry feline infectious peritonitis, a mutated feline coronavirus. The news was devastating, and her symptoms have been heartbreaking to witness—blood in her eye, non-responsive dilation of her pupils, inactivity, major loss of weight, and a sudden loss of appetite. Her condition can progress to uncontrollable seizures and wobbling, and she’s currently hospitalized. A blood transfusion might be necessary to give her the best chance at recovery, and the treatment itself has as low as an 80% success rate. Every day is a challenge as I do everything I can to support her through this difficult time.
The vet bills, medication, and possible blood transfusions needed for Hazel’s recovery are overwhelming, and I’m reaching out for help to give her the best chance at returning to her happy, playful self. Any support you can offer will go directly toward her medical care and treatment. I will be deeply grateful for any help, as I’m desperate to try anything to help Hazel get back on her feet. She deserves every opportunity to heal and continue spreading joy to those around her. Thank you for considering supporting Hazel’s journey back to health.
