Help Harvard Table Tennis Compete at Nationals!
Donación protegida
We are the Harvard Club Table Tennis Team, a student-run nonprofit group that competes under the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association (NCTTA). This year, both our co-ed and women’s teams have qualified for the NCTTA National Championships, which will take place from April 4-6 in Rockford, Illinois. This is the first time in club history that both the co-ed and women’s teams have qualified for the national tournament in the same year (to the best of our knowledge). Additionally, this is the first time the women’s team will compete at Nationals since 2011, and we are currently one of the top seeds in the nation!
Our team this year includes former national and competitive players from Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, and Australia. At the NCTTA Northeast Regionals tournament last weekend, our women’s team earned second place. Freshman team member Kelly Yenn won the women’s singles event, and sophomore Anton Schönweis advanced to the semifinals in men’s singles. In total, five of our team members independently qualified for Nationals in their respective open singles events. We are so incredibly excited to compete on the national stage!
As an entirely student-run group, we need your support to ensure that the co-ed and women’s teams can attend Nationals together for the first time. Given the limited availability of Harvard Club Sports funding (~$80 per person), we are aiming to raise $5,000 to cover lodging, registration fees, and travel expenses. Any contribution, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
