Help Harley get to Spain to represent Australia

Harley Woodward has been playing Soccer and Futsal for nearly 5 years and it is something he is truly passionate about. He has played most of his early soccer at Palm Beach Soccer Club where he was very well coached and learned his craft and had lots of incredible senior players to look up too. Through this training he has had the opportunity to progress to one of the highest level of soccer a person his age can play in Australia where he has had the opportunity to play for Gold Coast United where he achieved player of the year in 2021. He has now moved to the Goldcoast Knights this season where he is being challenged and growing even more with exceptional coaches and great quality players which he is absolutely loving. Harley also trains at a fantastic academy called FDP where he is challenged by some of the best kids in South East Queensland and Coached by very respected and highly skilled coaches. Harley has also been excelling in Futsal where he has made multiple representative teams. He has played with some incredible futsal clubs including Victory, Crusaders and the Knights.

Harley was selected to play for Queensland in 2021 but just before they were about to go he broke his foot and did not get the chance to play in the team that would later go on to win the Australian Championships. When he was asked to play again this year we were so excited for him to represent QLD and to be in a team with so many of his friends. We never expected to recieve a letter saying that Harley had been selected to represent Australia in Costa Brava in Spain. We were so happy that he had achieved this personal goal.

For anyone who doesn't know Harley. He is an extremely hard working competitor who has an infectious smile. He is a humble and quiet boy who goes about his business and does whatever he needs to do to help his team. He has great leadership qualities and has always earned the respect of his team mates and coaches. Most of all he just loves the game and everything that comes with it.

As much as we would love for Harley to be able to take this fantastic opportunity we find ourselves in the unfortunate position of having to seek help from our friends, family and soccer community to be able to achieve the financial requirements to be able to go.
