Help Hans with His Cancer Treatment Journey

As some of you know, our family has been quietly walking through something we never expected, and we’re so grateful for the love, prayers, and support that have already surrounded us.

A few weeks ago, my husband Hans had what we thought was a simple cyst removed from his foot. After biopsy results came back, we received the life changing news that it was actually a rare and aggressive cancer called pleomorphic sarcoma.

By God’s grace, after scans at MD Anderson, we learned the cancer has not spread to his lungs. That news alone felt like a miracle, and we are so thankful for every prayer that has carried us through.

However, this journey is not over yet. Hans will need another surgery because there is residual cancer remaining in his foot, but they will start him on 5 days a week for 3 weeks of radiation here in Houston. They will then continue with ongoing monitoring and scans every few months moving forward. We are trusting God fully as we take the next steps toward healing.

As we continue traveling to Houston for treatment, the financial burden of medical expenses, travel, and time away from work is beginning to grow. If you feel led to support us financially, we are deeply grateful, but more than anything, we ask for your prayers and for you to share our story.

Every kind word, prayer, and act of kindness has meant more than we can express. Thank you for loving on our family, standing beside us, and giving Hans supportive words as he continues this fight.
