Barry Lester Memorial Fund

Our cousins, Gwen and Alex Lester, lost their father (our beloved uncle)  Barry Lester this week. The news came unexpectedly yesterday while Gwen was celebrating her graduation from USC and Alex was celebrating his 30th birthday. Barry was living and working in Guam when he suddenly passed away.  

Alex and Gwen need our help to get to Guam, collect their father’s things, and bring him home. 

We all loved Barry as much as he loved us. He had a heart of gold. He was so full of SOUL, in every sense of the word. He was an engineer by trade, an artist at heart, with a passion for music that he shared with his children, and us. He loved the sea and all its healing qualities.  We spent almost all of our vacations with Uncle Barry, following him to the sea, the marsh, and the markets with the best fresh catch. He’d make amazing seafood feasts for us and we can still remember how excited he’d get about big shrimp! He gave so freely and fully. And his larger than life personality and heart lives on in Gwen and Alex. We want to help our cousins and our Aunt Mary during this time of tragic loss so they can focus on supporting each other and honouring their father.
