Help Grace Diida Graduate at Cornell Tech!
Don protégé
Grace Guyatu Diida is a rising star in Kenya's emerging high tech economy. She's a young attorney-entrepreneur with a passion for digital technology, human rights and global apps and services to raise living standards throughout East Africa!
I'm very proud to say that "Diida" (our pet name) is also one of 12 people worldwide who has earned acceptance at Cornell Technology's new Master of Laws program in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship. She'll start in the new Roosevelt Island NYC campus in August 2019.
Cornell Tech is one of the most competitive training studios in our country, its goal to develop the next generation of entrepreneurs with both legal knowledge and a dose of social responsibility.
Grace has received a modest partial scholarship from Cornell Tech, a comparatively new program that is not well funded. And she will be living and training in expensive New York City for 10 intensive months.
Grace borrowed a great deal of money to afford Cornell's hefty tuition and fees -- more than $65,000. And we need to help her raise living expense money.
Here's a breakdown of her expenses...
1 UNIVERSITY TUITION $64, 456
2. HEALTH INSURANCE $2,832
3. STUDENT ACTIVITY FEE $84.
4. HOUSING COSTS: $13,000
5. FOOD: $9500
5. SECURITY DEPOSIT 1,775
6. TRANSPORTATION, SUPPLIES, MISC: $1000
TOTAL EXPENSES: $92,647
Please contribute! I'm giving to Grace's future...and our own. "Diida" inspires me to believe the best in African leadership is yet to come...from honest women! I love her spirit and open mindedness, her passion for human improvement -- and her dreams of delivering fantastic new digital services everywhere.
If each of you can give a minimum of $25.00, imagine what 100 contributions will do...or 200, or 1000.
Thanks and blessings always!
