Friends, 

Everyone has a story. What makes this one different?  This is a story about a father who has never known a “stranger”. His kindness, humor, and wit capture the hearts of everyone he has a conversation with. This is a story of a new beginning for our dad, Dennis. This page has been established to help raise funds on behalf of this loving man.

Dennis has worked hard all of his life to support his family as an accomplished housing contractor. Throughout his working career he produced some of the best craftsmanship most have ever seen. He could do it all-intricate carpentry, roofing, siding, flooring, windows, painting, you name it!

Putting his career on hold, Dennis selflessly provided loving, daily care for his elderly parents until it was time to bid them goodbye. He always said that we should help people when the opportunity presents itself and show everyone love and kindness.  He lives by this rule.

Regrettably, several recent, unforeseen health issues forced Dennis into retirement at 66. Without the ability to work, his financial situation has deteriorated substantially. He moved to Texas to be near his remaining immediate family but now he is struggling to find affordable housing here on his very limited social security income. Our family has been trying to help in various ways but have limited funds and resources to help him find a home. He is temporarily staying with his eldest daughter in a small one bedroom apartment. Time is of the essence as the property management company has said that he can’t stay for much longer.   

We are hoping to raise money to buy him a travel trailer (in good condition) to park at one of the RV parks nearby. He can pay the lot fee from his social security and have a little left for other expenses. Our dad has shown kindness and care to so many people throughout his life.
