The news of Leysie's passing on July 14, 2025, after returning from a trip, is shared with the heaviest heart.

Leysie was more than a pet; she was a beloved family member, a constant companion, a shadow, our support, the queen of the house, and a source of immeasurable joy and unconditional love for 16 years. She filled our lives with snuggles, her funny way of asking for more rubs by putting her paws together, her excitement when she went to the beach, and her love for watching Spanish soap operas! The silence in the home is deafening, the empty spot on the foot of my bed, and the grief felt is profound.

While navigating this loss, there is also the unexpected expense of Leysie's cremation, which is $2,482. This was sudden and devastating, and these costs were not anticipated, especially during this challenging time. I never imagined having to humble myself and ask for help.
