Help Get Catsnip Back on the Road

Catsnip Spay/Neuter Services of Georgia is a low-cost mobile veterinary clinic providing services throughout the metro-Atlanta area since 2003. We provide spay and neuter services, vaccinations and micro-chipping for cats, including privately-owned, animal controls, rescue groups, and feral/community cats. Our low-cost services have been a vital resource for communities throughout the area, helping to address the ongoing problem of pet overpopulation in Georgia.

During the late evening of Wednesday, October 11, our truck (affectionately named "Beebe"), was broken into by thieves. The driver's side window was smashed, the rear door to the truck was violently pried open, and the interior of the truck was ransacked. Several thousand dollars in damage and lost equipment was suffered, and since then Beebe has been inoperable. Until we are able to make repairs to Beebe and replace all of the damaged equipment and supplies, Catsnip will be unable to conduct our regular clinics. This will result in the loss of thousands of dollars in income per day, which will make it impossible to cover ongoing bills and provide for our staff, who are unable to work until the truck is repaired.

Although the truck is fully insured, the time to submit a claim, have it processed, receive the funds and schedule the needed repairs means Beebe may be off the road for several weeks, critical time lost where we will not be able to service our customers. Beebe is the very heart of our business, and without her the entire business is at risk.

We are hoping to raise $25,000, which will be used for immediate repairs and replacement of equipment, help with ongoing bills and expenses, and well as help to any staff members that are unable to work while the truck is out of commission.

Our passion for animals is the guiding principle behind Catsnip, and our services are, as always, in constant need. With your help, we hope to get back to the business that we love, bringing low-cost spay and neuter services to the greater Atlanta area.
