Hello, my name is James Geiger, and I’m reaching out to you for help. I have Cerebral Palsy and face daily challenges that make life difficult. My overarching goal is to regain my energy and improve my quality of life. To do this, I need your support in raising funds for a CPAP machine and supplies.

My Story:
I've lived in Tampa since I was 12, and those who knew me knew I was always on the go. In grade school, I was involved in filmmaking, sports, and volunteering. During college, I threw myself into student government, joined a fraternity, hosted a radio show, and even hosted open mic events. After college, I busted my butt freelancing for 10 years, and many friends asked me when I ever slept! I was always doing something.

Recently, I moved to Charlotte, NC, to work for Lowe's as a product designer, knowing there'd be a big shift in lifestyle and routine. It's now May, and I'm still exhausted every night and on weekends. I don’t do anything besides lay around and rest, and go to the jacuzzi to relax my muscles. I haven't had the energy to explore this amazing city, let alone go out with my work colleagues.

Why a CPAP Machine Matters:
Working with my doctor, we have a plan. Last year, I did a sleep study with Lofta, and it turns out I have mild obstructive sleep apnea. My doctor wants to get me on a CPAP machine to help me sleep better. This machine will provide continuous positive airway pressure, preventing airway collapse during sleep and allowing me to wake up refreshed.

In addition to sleep apnea, I'm also struggling with obesity, which is caused by two main issues: my appetite and my inability to cook due to Cerebral Palsy. My doctor is trying to get me on Zepbound to help suppress my appetite, and I'm working with a dietitian to find local ways to eat healthy.

Breakdown of Funds:
If my health care plan agrees to pay for the CPAP machine, I will still have an $800 deductible. If it doesn't, I'll have to pay out of pocket. With Lofta, everything included (mask, tubes, etc.) will cost $1,400, and I'll receive sleep coaching as well. As you may know, GoFundMe takes out fees, which is why my total ask is $1,500.

The funds will be used for:

CPAP Machine and Supplies: $1,400
GoFundMe Fees: $50+
Total Goal: $1,500

The Impact:
Your generous donation will help me get back on my feet, giving me the energy and health needed to pursue my goals and passions. With a CPAP machine, I will be able to sleep better, wake up refreshed, and face each day with renewed enthusiasm.

Call to Action:
Any amount you can contribute will make a difference and will be deeply appreciated. Please help me take this vital step toward improving my health and getting my energy back. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to me.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity!

Best regards,
James Geiger
