Help Gaucho Racing build a race car!

Donation protected
Engineering students at UC Santa Barbara have had a long and successful history in racing competitions, from Baja SAE to Hyperloop. Each year, they assemble teams of dedicated students to build vehicles and compete against other colleges and universities. The future of racing at UCSB is in Formula SAE Electric, where students design, build, and test a fully electric single-seater race car. This yearlong effort culminates in the annual competition at Michigan International Speedway, where 75 teams from across the world gather and learn from one another as well as career engineers, and complete in displays of engineering knowledge and expertise.

After entering and attending the 2023 edition of Formula SAE Electric, Gaucho Racing has learned many lessons critical for a blossoming team and our hunger to build a much-improved race car is larger than ever. Already, we're nearing the end of our design phase and preparing to manufacture the car.

By supporting this project, not only are you making it possible for us to purchase materials, but you are supporting an invaluable educational and professional experience for UCSB engineering students that will stick with them long past graduation. In addition, your name will appear on our car!
