In Loving Memory of Garet

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share that our beloved Garet passed away peacefully on Friday.

Our family is devastated. After such a long and difficult journey with cancer, there is comfort in knowing that Garet is finally at peace and no longer hurting, but the space he leaves behind is immeasurable.

Throughout Garet journey, so many of you have walked beside him and our family. You prayed for him, donated, shared his story, sent messages of encouragement, and reminded us again and again that we were not alone.

We will never be able to adequately thank you for that love.

As we now begin navigating life without Garet, our biggest concern is helping care for the people he loved most—especially his wife and children.

This GoFundMe will remain open to help support Garet’s children and family in the difficult months ahead. Donations will help provide some stability and ease the financial burden as they grieve, adjust to this tremendous loss, and begin figuring out what life looks like without him here.

If you are able to contribute, no amount is too small. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing Garet’s story and keeping his children and our family in your thoughts and prayers means more than you know.

Garet fought incredibly hard, but his story was always about so much more than cancer.

He was a father. He was a husband.

A brother.

A son.

Family.

A friend.

And someone who was loved beyond measure.

His children will carry pieces of him with them for the rest of their lives, and we will do everything we can to make sure they always know how deeply their dad loved them and how many lives he touched.

Thank you for loving Garet. Thank you for standing beside our family. And thank you for helping us surround his children with the same love and support you showed him throughout his journey.
