On June 10, my friend and co-worker, Curtis Hicks, lost his mother. She passed away of a sudden brain aneurysm at 47 years old. Curtis has a 17 year old brother named David, who was cared for by his mother alone. David has severe autism and is unable to be left alone. He is incontinent and requires pull ups and someone who is able to meet the needs of being able to change him.  Curtis and David's mother did not have a will or advance directives in place when she passed, nor was there any money set aside for David's care. Curtis is now left to care for David on his own. He is left to bear the expenses required to hire a sitter to stay with him at night while he works, as well as other daily expenses such as food, gas( to take him to the sitter, which is sometimes 100 miles round trip), adult pull ups, and money for entertainment so he can get him out of the house.  I am hoping that friends and co-workers will find it in their heart to donate to this campaign to help a friend in need out in a tough and unexpected situation. Curtis is proud and I know he was hesitant to let me start this campaign but when I explained that it was for David, he agreed. Please consider donating anything you can to help David. Anything is truly appreciated. Thank you!
