On May 3rd, a fire broke out in the deli beneath Fred and Emily's apartment, destroying the building and everything they owned in mere seconds. Thanks to their quick thinking, Fred and Emily were able to get out safely with one of their cats, Vincent. Tragically, their other cat, Rosie, is still missing. They had just moved into the apartment 7 months prior, newly engaged and excited for this new chapter.

To know Fred and Emily is to know that you always have someone in your corner. They are two people who genuinely live their lives in service to others. Emily is an ER nurse and Fred is a manager at the Gramercy Tavern, ensuring that whenever I come into town (and I am sure everyone else that is lucky enough to call Fred a friend), I am guaranteed some good gossip and a glass of wine on the house.
