Hello everyone! My name is Elysha, i currently work in the vet med field as an VA and this post is for my best friend Karlie and her boyfriend Jacob. They rescued this beautiful baby named Cleo and her sister Katana from a very unfortunate and sad rehoming case back in July of 2024 and have since become an insurmountable source of comfort and safety for them.

Unfortunately, Cleo’s health took a downhill plunge Saturday, October 18th. She was admitted to an ER vet and hospitalized with a myriad of tests done to diagnose her with Hepatic Lipidosis. Also known as fatty liver disease, this is caused by her body making a choice to process fat storage that would normally be held onto, and it overwhelmed her liver to the point of impeding its function. She has already been hospitalized for 3 days and will be hospitalized for at least 3 more with a feeding tube and bloodwork monitoring.

Karlie and Jacob are the sweetest, most kind and considerate people I have ever come across, and to see them go through this struggle emotionally and financially is absolutely gut-wrenching given the time we’re all living in already. If anyone who has read this far has even a few cents to spare, know it will be going to the care of the prettiest lil baby girl and helping the most deserving couple I know. Thank you all so much (:
