On Wednesday, July 3rd, Larry Burton went missing from 1215 Moody Street in Greensboro around 10:45pm. Larry, who suffers from both diabetes and dementia, had just been discharged from the hospital less than two weeks ago. Since his disappearance, his daughter LaTonya Swift and her children have been searching tirelessly, following leads and working closely with law enforcement and search dogs. Recent signs, including fresh evidence in the Banner Ave area, suggest that Larry is still moving around, likely at night. The family is organizing daily searches and remains hopeful for his safe return.


LaTonya had to leave her home in Florida in a rush when she heard the news, even leaving her wallet behind in her urgency to get to Greensboro. She and her children are now facing unexpected expenses for food, water, and printing flyers to help spread the word. While law enforcement and a few volunteers are assisting, more help is urgently needed to cover the area and bring Larry home.
