Hi, I’m Fay — and this is my comeback story.

In early 2024, my life blew up. My husband had an affair and left. Since then, I’ve lost my marriage, my home, my job in tech, my mental health (twice hospitalized), and for a while…my will to keep going. It was the year from hell.

But 2025? It’s time to start rebuilding.

After 7 months and hundreds of applications, I took a wild leap and applied to be a yoga teacher — and I got it! This sparked a small flame of hope, so I followed it and it led me back to massage. For the first time in ages, I feel purposeful. Inspired. Alive. So this August, I’m starting massage therapy school.

Massage has quietly called to me for years. But my ex always dismissed it as a “stupid idea.” He’s gone now — and so is his voice in my head. After hitting rock bottom more times than I can count, I’m finally investing in myself and creating a life that feels peaceful and mine. I lied to myself for years about tech burnout, and after what happened in 2024, I’m ready to invest in a career that’s focused on healing and helping others.

I’m raising funds to help cover half the cost of massage school. I was left with nothing — not even closure, just a stack of bills, panic attacks, and CPTSD. But this path forward? It’s giving me hope. And I haven’t felt that in a long time.
