Help Farzana Fight Lymphedema

Farzana is a widow with three young children who greatly depend on her. Farzana has been the sole breadwinner for her family since her husband passed away. Recently she has been diagnosed with very rare kind of Lymphedema. Due to lack of treatment, her condition has deteriorated to the point where she is no longer able to move her body. This has put financial stress and burden on her two daughters who have since dropped out of school to support their mother and 8 year old brother. Farzana’s 13-year-old daughter Alima is now working as a full time housekeeper. Currently, the young girls are struggling to raise enough money each month for their family’s basic needs. The family has been evicted from their home and currently living in a temporary room given by the family that the girls work for.

The doctors in Kabul, Afghanistan have suggested that she should go to India for treatment. This would not only help Farzana, but also help her daughters go back to school and get an education.
