Help Evynne Get Back On Her Feet (Pun Intended)

I recently had major knee/leg surgery to replace a broken piece of cartilage and have my leg realigned. This was a $6,000+ surgery as well as $2,000+ in expenses.

I got the injury in France while I was teaching. I was playing Just Dance with the kids (forgetting I'm not a kid myself anymore) and I fell and shattered my knee. The injury was prolonged as I didn't want to get surgery done in a foreign country.

As it worsened, the price of the surgery and recovery time also increased. Since the surgery, I've been going to PT every week (twice a week) for 6 months. I've used all my savings to pay for the co-pays ($55 per = $110 /a week). This has added up exponentially.

For months my leg wouldn't bend. My body healed too fast, and I developed an unusual amount of scar tissue. I had to undergo another surgery to scope the tissue and one more procedure following the initial surgery. While these were beneficial, they also prolonged the healing process. This means more PT appointments and more equipment/expenses.

I was bedridden for almost 6 weeks. I couldn't put weight on my leg because it has been broken into place/I could have messed up the alignment. During this time, I was unemployed and couldn't do much for financial gain. I had to quit school and my job. Even now, it's clear employers are hesitant about hiring me in this state.

I'm now almost on the other side of it, but I need help getting back on my feet (pun intended).
