Help the Alzaanin family survive in Gaza
Doação protegida
In March 2023, we met the Alzaanin family in Gaza. They invited us to their beautiful home in Beit Hanoun and hosted us with incredible kindness and generosity. Jamila, a mother of three, prepared a delicious meal with khoubeizeh (a wild green) from her garden, and the kids – Ahmad, Mohammed and Ronda - showed us the family's citrus groves and hung a wicker birdhouse in one of their lemon trees.
Since October 2023, the Alzaanin family has endured relentless Israeli bombardments that have destroyed their home, their orchards and obliterated Gaza. Displaced more than eight times over the past months, they have witnessed unimaginable suffering and destruction.
In August 2024, Jamila's husband Ramz had a stroke. It affected his left arm and left leg, but he has been unable to get adequate medical attention.
In June 2023, Mohammed was shot in the arm by quadcopter Israeli drones and had to undergo urgent surgery. But he has also been unable to get adequate medical attention, and the family has almost no food and water, making it much more difficult to recover from his injury.
The family can no longer bear the inhumane conditions in the refugee camps full of sewage where diseases are spreading quickly, the lack of medical treatment, food, clean water or basic needs, and the constant threat of death as Israel continues its genocidal attack on Gaza.
They dream of escaping the bombs and devastation and a safe place where the children can continue their studies.

As Gazans cannot access GoFundMe campaigns themselves, the family reached out to ask for help to fundraise to help them survive in Gaza.
The family of five—Jamila, her husband Ramz, and their children Ahmad (17), Mohammed (16), and Ronda (13) needs help to cover their basic needs. They will also need help to rebuild their lives and home after this nightmare is over.
Any donation, no matter how small, will give the family a glimmer of hope in all this darkness.
The funds will be received by HuBB - Humans Before Borders, a collective based in Portugal, and transferred to the Alzaanin family.
