Elaine Desnousse, 32, from Seychelles, was born with a medical condition called Bronchiectasis and diagnosed aged 14. In 2018 Elaine's health condition progressed to respiratory failure, and since, she has been on oxygen therapy 24/7 and using ventilatory support. This has impaired her mobility and quality of life.
Elaine is in great need of a double lung transplant which will transform her life!
Elaine and her family will have to relocate to India for up to 1 year to undergo all the necessary transplant procedures. Her case is thought to be the first-ever in Seychelles. Unfortunately, her medical insurance does not cover this expensive procedure entirely, and the government will not assist her with her medical expenses.
