Help Baby Julia's Family with Emergency Living Expenses
Spende geschützt
Hello and thank you for stopping to read my story.
Never in a million years did I think I’d be sitting here writing my story and praying to God for a miracle. But here I am, with faith and hope that my story will reach the right people!
I’m a 24 year old mom who just gave birth to my second child, baby Julia Rosemarie. Baby Julia has not had an easy start to life. Early in my pregnancy, the dedicated medical team detected that Julia was not growing at the normal rate as other babies her gestational age. Later, they also found that she had an enlarged heart wall, causing her heart to work harder at keeping her little body adequately nourished. With Julia in distress, the doctors decided it would be better to schedule a C-Section a few weeks early to give her a better chance at growing, but I did not make it to that original date. Julia had to be delivered via emergency classical C-section 9 weeks early due to her heart rate and concerns for her chances of survival in utero. And at just barely 2 pounds at birth, Julia was admitted to the NICU immediately after her birth, and remains there now, having developed an infection and requiring a blood transfusion and high powered antibiotics.
Going back and forth to the NICU everyday, while trying to heal from my C-Section, and care for my older daughter, has proved difficult and financially straining for my little family. We do not know when Baby Julia will be coming back home with us, but at a minimum, she will remain in the NICU for the next two months.
During my pregnancy, I wasn’t able to work due to being in a high risk pregnancy, and being admitted to the hospital for a few weeks until delivery of Baby Julia. With the care of my older daughter, Olivia, becoming his responsibility, my fiancé was also limited in his ability to work full time.
Because of this, we’ve struggled with keeping up with rent and living expenses, which in turn, will cause us to be evicted from our home if we do not find the means to pay. Without the help and support of family and friends, we would have been evicted and become homeless last month, but those resources have all been exhausted.
We have also applied for various types of assistance, but there is no program that we qualify for in our area. All of those resources have also been exhausted.
We’ve tried loans, we’ve tried government agencies, we’ve tried charities, everything we could think of, all to no avail.
We want to make sure we can save our housing before Baby Julia is discharged from the NICU. I’m hoping and praying for a miracle. Any help at all is beyond appreciated.
We’ve always been able to keep up with our expenses, but with the current situation, it’s been really hard to be able to keep up.
Hoping to God that I can save my family from homelessness and be able to enjoy having our baby home.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and in advance, I thank you for any help you are able to provide!
All my best,
Olivia and Julia's grateful Mommy
