Two weeks ago Desmond was a normal healthy 5 year old Buffalonian, enjoying the snow more than most of us do. 

Now his and his family’s whole world has been turned upside down by a leukemia diagnosis. Desmond is currently receiving inpatient treatment and has a long road ahead of him to recovery. 

His Mom Meghan is one of the sweetest people I know, she is Godmother to my son and for those of you lucky enough to know her, you know she is the first one to step up when you need something. 

I wish there was more we could do for Desmond and am just thankful he is in great hands with the Doctors and Nurses here in Buffalo. I also know the average out of pocket cost for a family affected by pediatric cancer is $20,000.  I am hoping to raise $5,000 to help decrease the financial burden from copays and lost wages on Desmond’s parents so they can focus on helping him fight leukemia!
